New Website

After several redesigns over the past three years I’m finally launching a new website for MWH Design, now I can breathe.

It’s been a long time coming, delays on the new website were not due to complex development or packing in tons of fluff, rather it’s more a testament of how busy our awesome clients keep us everyday! Their is also the fact that designing for yourself can be extremely difficult, but I won’t bore you with that now.

About us and our new website

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Mike Hosier and MWH Design is my design studio. MWH consists of me, my wife & our dogs dog, and our collaborative go-to-team, Thomas (developer), and Melissa (writer). We’re a very small company and strive to keep it that way. We enjoy working for any type of small businesses and we built our new website around that concept. Because we choose to stay small, staying on top of business matters, projects, and the latest design and development techniques is not exactly easy, hence the reason it’s taken years to launch a new site – we do it because we love it!

So here we are at the start of a new beginning and we’re super excited to finally roll things out. While you browse, here are some notable features I’d like to point out;

  • Keep it Compact – It’s easy to go over board planning your content, we found it best to make a wish list of everything we wanted, but then cut out everything we did not need and focus on what was left over.
  • Responsive Design - What is it? Responsive design means the design of your website is fluid with well planned out breaking points, essentially our website scales to fit on your smartphone, tablet, and desktop without compromising the users experience.
  • WordPress – Our old web site was static, while that’s fine for some, we were outgrowing it and we needed a platform that would allow us to add projects into our portfolio as we completed them, and give us the tools to share notes wherever and whenever and we feel the urge.
  • Brand Preservation – Not everything changed, nor should it. Our new site design looks quite similar to our previous web sites so it’s instantly recognizable, only with an overall freshness.

Thanks for reading a paying us a visit, if you’d like, please leave us a comment on our Facebook page and tell us what you think, we’d love to hear from you!
